Photography Idol
Having yourself critiqued among peers is a very scary thing. But I also believe that in order to allow myself to grow as a photographer it is something that must be done. Oh, and there may or may not have been some swanky prizes for the winner of this contest. So I decided to enter the Photographer Idol contest with the Chic Critique Forum The next step in deciding to do this is what image would I choose? I have so many favorites! So I asked for help from my oldest daughter with the very simple question, "If you have to choose an image of mine that just speaks to you, which one would you choose?" Well it didn't take her but a second to answer me and I agree. I fell in love with this image the minute I set it up. I didn't need to even look in my camera to see what it spoke to me. Wish me luck.

Luck of the Irish
Ahhhhhhh........ this is where I got my first real taste of love celebration style. Jason and Katy came to me actually unbeknownst to Katy. Jason contacted me about doing a shoot to surprise her for their anniversary. So we chatted, came up with a plan -- muah ha ha ha! (that was evil laughter) and set that plan in action. Katy really had no idea what she was in for and still didn't even upon seeing me standing on the side of the road with a camera. Plan = success! I love these images. It shows love in the way they look at each other, the way they touch each other and the way they laugh with each other. It was my pleasure in getting to share this with them.

Evie is Two!!
Little Miss Evie has grown up so much since the last time I saw her! I got to photograph her when she was born and again at her first birthday. She has changed so much but one thing that hasn't is those big beautiful brown eyes!!! Isn't she just adorable?

Haley {KU Graduate}
WOW! Four years has just flown by. I can't believe that my baby girl has graduated college. There are so many emotions that run through my mind in reflecting on her life. When she graduated high school you just pray to God that everything will work out and they will make good choices and stay on their paths because this is the beginning of their adult life. Well it was just a small step on that journey. She has graduated now from The University of Kansas and her adult life has suddenly required big girl panties in this wonderful world. It is a dog eat dog world out there and she has so many choices to make about what she wants to do with her life now. Does she go, does she stay, does she do what her heart wants or does she do what makes a living? Whatever this beautiful child of mine chooses, I will be there right by her side as her mom, cheerleader, friend if she needs one, supporter and devil's advocate everyone needs one of those right? I do wish her a beautiful, lovely and blessed life.

Melissa {St. Theresa's Academy}
I love it when seniors come to me and they just have this one-of-a-kind style. Melissa was such a sweetie and she knew exactly what she wanted for her senior pictures.
